The Safe T Sleep – what a wonderful invention.
We have been using a Safe T Sleep since my daughter was a few months old – she is now almost 2 and still in it.
Not only did it give me peace of mind when she was smaller but now I think it has become a form of a security blanket to her – when we wrap her in it – she immediately puts her hands behind her head and is happy to go to sleep.
I am sure it also has been one of the reasons that she sleeps SO well from 7.30 at night right through to 8.00 in the morning – rarely waking in between.
Needless to say our STS is THE most well travelled – it is the first thing that goes into our suitcase when we go away for a weekend and has even been to Africa twice!!!!
If we go to a friend’s house for dinner – Jessica’s whole cot mattress goes along with us with her STS attached ensuring she goes to sleep and we get to relax and enjoy our outing.
Thanks go to the inventor and manufacturers of the Safe T Sleep for an amazing product.

London and the Safe T Sleep
Hi Michelle,
We are now back from our trip to London and the Safe T Sleep was a big success.
First thing was that it was so compact we are able to fit it in the suitcase (considering the fact that I’m not known for my ability to travel light, this was a good thing) without any problem.
We arrived at the flat quite late and it took only a minute to fit it to the mattress that our daughter was going to use.
She was going to be sleeping on my single bed back at my family home in London and without a Safe T Sleep we would have had to surround her with pillows to ensure she would not roll off the bed.
Once she was dressed for bed we put her back in her Safe T Sleep and she was fast asleep. The whole time we were there we used it both for her day time naps and at night when she went to bed.
On our departure date, it was one of the last things that was put in the suitcase (since we need it in the day time before we flew and we also knew it wouldn’t take up much room) and it was time to return home.
So we have found the product quite satisfactory indeed, both from the point of view of using it at home and travelling.
Hope you find these comments useful.

P.S. I told a couple of friends with kids less than 3 years old about the product and was also able to show it to some of them. Even my cousin that doesn’t have kids yet was quite impressed.

Dear Madam,
During the Parent Show in Christchurch on 11-9-99 I discussed with you how your Safe T Sleep had assisted one of my new born twins who was having breathing problems. At the end of our conversation you requested a written detailed account of my experience.
On the 4th April 1998 while I was 30 weeks into pregnancy with twins boys I went into sudden labour. Mitchell David was born naturally at 10.25 am and his brother Gerald Scott by Caesarean at 10.47 am. Both boys were immediately placed in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) at Christchurch Women’s Hospital.
During the next 28 days both boys progressed to the stage where they could be moved from their incubators into a shared cot. About two days after this Mitchell showed signs of having “EVENTS” (heart rate and oxygen saturation drop) in layman’s terms Stop Breathing.
Mitchell was then transferred to Christchurch Public Hospital for a 24 hour sleep study. This showed Mitchell to be having 240 bradyadia’s, over that 24 hour period. It was then back to NICU and into the cot with his brother were he remained on breathing monitor for a month of close monitoring. Another sleep study needed at the end of this period determine of his conditioned improved.
Soon after the return of Mitchell to the unit after his 1st sleep study I sat and watched him for the best part of a day. I realised very quickly that his events were happening when he slipped down his cot. To determine if this was a contributing factor to his condition I went out and purchased a SAFE-T-SLEEP. By the time the next Sleep Study was carried out Mitchell was having NO bradycardia’s.
I left hospital with both boys when they were 85 days old. I continue to use the SAFE-T-SLEEP for both my boys. At the time of writing this letter my boys are 17 months old and both enjoy good health. I firmly believe that the use of the SAFE-T-Sleep was a major contributing factor in Mitchell quick recovery from his events.
Yours Faithfully

Hi Miriam,
I met you about a month ago at the cafe on Maraetai and purchased a Travel Sleepwrap from you just as I was about to take a trip with my four month old (Ava) to the UK. I just wanted to say that I am so pleased with it, and was perfect for my trip as Ava was put in a cot (rather than bassinet) for the first time whilst we were there, and I had absolutely no anxiousness about it. I knew that she wouldn’t be able to wriggle and get stuck through the cot bars, or roll onto her front (she’s not yet rolling but knowing my luck she would have started doing so when I was overseas and without the wrap!).
Two of my friends have now purchased the wrap as I told them it gave me complete peace of mind and a few other friends will also be purchasing the wraps, one for her sister as a baby shower gift, and another is buying one instead of a travel cot as it is so adaptable (and FAR easier to transport). I will continue to spread the good word! Actually, I understand you just spoke to a friend of mine who was confused about the use of the safety pins when necessary (but obviously you cleared up the confusion).
It was lovely to meet you and have a good chat that day. Good luck with your other new project as I recall you are writing a book!
Kind regards
Andrea Unwin (and baby Ava)

Safe T Sleep
Advantages of Safe T Sleep
As we all know with the introduction of our new family members comes the influx of baby paraphernalia!
For me I travel light at the best of times so you can imagine my horror when attempting to leave the house with baby and all the gear in tow. Yuk!
Safe T Sleep has been one of the most valuable and sensible purchases I made, it not only allows me to travel without a portable cot for weekend trips but provides flexibility when out just for the day.
The simplicity of the product allows the Safe T Sleep to be used either around a single bed mattress or on the cushion seat of a couch.
My child finds Safe T Sleep not at all restricting and due to her familiarity with the product will settle into her afternoon sleep without any problems no matter the environment she is in.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Safe T Sleep as one of the must have products due to the flexibility and peace of mind it offers parents.
Happy marketing such a wonderful product!
