Dear Safe-T-Sleep,
I want to thank you for giving me the best sleep that I have had in months!
My three-month-old girl rolls and migrates around her bassinette and always ends
up pulling the swaddle and blankets over her face. She has some lung issues
and I have found that I have been too scared to fall asleep properly in case
she moves away from her apnoea monitor, or smothers herself. I started using
a Safe-T-Sleep a couple of weeks ago and it was immediately clear that she would now be staying put - so I have been able to sleep without worry. Bliss!
Also, her little head got squished on one side when she was in an incubator in I.C.U. so I am looking forward to using your product to help with this issue too.
Finally, we take our girl out fishing quite regularly and Safe-T-Sleep is invaluable for keeping her secure whenever things get a bit rocky.
Thank you VERY much.
Cheers,
Anna
Hi Louise & Matt (the sleep store)
Just to let you know that the Safe T Wrap is worth it's weight in gold!! Our 11 month old hasn't slept in his cot willingly for many months (we've had to use the pram) and it has been an absolute nightmare with him waking all night once he is actually in his cot and creeping round the cot, banging his head and refusing to lie down and sleep. Now with this amazing product he goes to sleep easily without too much fuss and sleeps all night!!!! We've been transformed into happy parents again. If only we had this months ago...
Cheers
Emma & Mike
Dear Safe T Sleep,
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I have recently won the Addias Auckland ½ Marathon for the 4th time. This time however it is thanks to you.
This time last year I gave birth to Baker my 2nd son. I was able to get back into my training, but it wasn’t until I purchased your product that I was able to get a full nights sleep, therefore recover adequately. I am now able to race at a high level and hop to qualify for the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, 2006.
I would love to be a part of endorsing your awesome product.
Thanks again for bringing back my mojo in terms of running!

Hello Everyone
At the Wellington Parent and Child Show I purchased a Safe T Sleep Sleepwrap, size 2. My daughter, who has a five month old baby is delighted with it. She used the Sleepwrap on Saturday night and for the first time Cameron actually slept soundly all night. Although he has been sleeping most of the night he had been stirring a number of times which meant they had to get out of bed and turn him over and tuck him down again, which disturbed their sleep. Since using the Sleepwrap he has slept through the night without waking.
As a new grandmother, I am thrilled with it too as it means that we do not have to purchase a cot for those babysitting occasions, which would have been a nuisance as we do not have a lot of room for such an item of furniture.
I would most certainly have no hesitation
What were your reasons for purchasing a Safe T Sleep™ Sleepwrap®?
To stop my baby rolling over in his cot and also to try and prevent a flat head.

A friend’s recommendation. I searched the internet using MSN.

I’m please that it prevents the baby from rolling over, but am not too sure how it prevents flat head syndrome. If someone could provide me with this information I would be grateful.
What were your reasons for purchasing a Safe T Sleep™ Sleepwrap®?
My 4 month old baby has discovered rolling, especially whilst asleep. We’ve found him in a variety of positions in his cot including lying faced down wedged against the slats at the side of the cot. He was constantly banging his head as well as startling himself a wake with all his movements. Sleep deprivation drove us to purchase the wrap.

Internet search. Used words “Rolling in sleep” (I think)

Initially we were concerned that the sleep wrap looked and would act like a straight jacket for our little boy whilst asleep in his cot. After countless sleepless nights however we felt we had to try something.
The wrap can be a bit fiddly to fit and required two pairs of hands for the first couple of times we used it, after a while though we got the hang of it and it was easy enough for one of us to fit it to the cot. The wrap worked extremely well and kept Max firmly in place all night. It appeared comfortable around him and we were so grateful to have something that kept our baby safe as well as helping us all get some well needed sleep. I would, and have recommended it to other parents who find themselves with a wriggly baby.
There were some big downsides however. You do require safety pins to fit the wrap correctly, although this wasn’t explained on the website or very clear to identify on the video. The wrap worked well even though we didn’t use any pins however. The wrap is not tumble dryable which made it difficult when my baby was sick on it during the night and the wrap had to be washed and dried in the same day and also it was a bit tricky to fit which made bed times even more stressful.
What were your reasons for purchasing a Safe T Sleep™ Sleepwrap®?
My child is very strong and constantly unwraps and ends up every which way in bed. He also loves to sleep on his side but falls on his front and is unable to roll back.

I absolutely love it and so does my son. As soon as I wrapped him in it the first night he was asleep and I have never had any trouble since in him falling off to sleep. Also he wakes loads less since using the Safe T Sleep™ he is not rolling and ending up hanging out between bars. It also meant I could take the bumper off the cot which I thought was great! Thank you for the wonderful product!
What were your reasons for purchasing a Safe T Sleep™ Sleepwrap®?
To use instead of a cot on holiday.

It is lightweight, easy to pack for holidays and gave us the comfort to know if we did not have a cot for our little girl to sleep in, she would still be safe and secure. Quick to setup and our child seemed to sleep as normal.
What were your reasons for purchasing a Safe T Sleep™ Sleepwrap®?
My 4 mth old little girl started rolling onto her front to sleep & instead of putting her head to the side she would lie with her face pressed into the mattress with her hands at either side of her face. Needless to say I could no rest as every time I put her on her back she would just roll over again after a few minutes then get upset & many nights she would wake endlessly. It was very worrying as the back to sleep campaign stresses about keeping them from sleeping on the tummy.

I was at my wits end & thought surely there must be an invention as I cant be the only one with this problem, my 2 ½ yr old son never slept on his tummy. So I typed in HOW CAN I STOP BABY ROLLING ONTO TUMMY WHEN ASLEEP? & lots of things came up & I eventually went onto a website where lots of mums had left messages helping each other & there was a link to your website address was mentioned.

If ever there was something that gave you 100 and 10% assurance that your baby was sleeping safely this is it. It has given me the piece of mind that she is safe from suffocating and I can sleep with the knowledge that she is as safe as if I was sat watching over her. This product must be advertised more as I am sure so many mothers think that there is nothing they can do & may never pursue a solution but this product could actually save lives of babies. I have recommended this to my sons occupational therapist as it also allow you to alternate between which side your baby sleeps so to help against flattening of heads which my son has. The health authority sat flattened heads is becoming a big issue since the back to sleep campaign started but it has reduced Cot death an awful lot and that is the main priority. They knew nothing about this product-but it could help so many people. Thank you so much for stocking this product.
What were your reasons for purchasing a Safe T Sleep™ Sleepwrap®?
My son moved around in his cot at night, waking up when he bumped on the cot bars.

My son has slept right though the night since the first night I introduced Safe T Sleep™. Now if he wakes in the night he feels safe and comfortable and puts himself happily back to sleep. I shall carry on using Safe T Sleep™ until he can roll from front to back safely. It has been the best thing I bought for my baby and was the end of our to our sleepless nights! I would highly recommend it to anyone with an active sleeping baby!

I think someone mentioned it on the Huggies website
I can not remember the search criteria I used

I only used it for a few weeks until my baby was strong enough to roll himself over-but it improved my sleep during those weeks.
Using both sections was a little fiddly to attach to the mattress.
I never used safety pins to attach it to the nappy. I use reusable nappies and did not want to put a safety pin though the plastic covers.
I think it would be a good to include a safety pin in the pack.

Dear Shelley
Thank you for your letter of 5 February 1998. I enclose a list of the tertiary education institutions offering nursing and midwifery education.
I am pleased to hear that so many families are using the Safe T Sleep Sleepwrap. I was recently in the Wellington Farmers store and saw the brochures on the counter.
Please give my kindest regards to Miriam. I hope all is going well with Miriam and her family and with Safe T Sleep.
Yours sincerely

Dear Miriam,
I bought a ‘Safe T Sleep’ just yesterday after a night of getting up at least six times to retrieve Briar from the hard end of her cot. As she is a ‘wriggler’ I thought it may take a little bit of getting used to, but because she can still move from side to side – no problem.
I had to wake her up from both sleeps yesterday and I didn’t hear a peep from her until 4.30am this morning – which for Briar is good.
If ‘The Wriggler’ can adapt that easily any baby can.
Yours Sincerely
Jenny Preston
P.S. Briar is 8months.

However, I am quite happy to be your point of contact within Lakeland Health if that is if any use to you at all!
Many of us already aware if your product and just how useful it is. We applaud initiatives such as yours that helps prevent injury, etc to children.
